MARCH 8, 2022
Tuesday, March 8, International Women’s Day, from 5:00 PM, conversations will be the protagonists of the evening.
At Sa Mandra there are two rooms; a Museum. One is covered with baskets, with weavings, witnesses of work and effort; the other is populated by women, small and large majolica ceramics. The conversations will bounce from one wall to another.
Claudia Zedda, writer and anthropologist, will tell how food is culture and identity. Alessandra Polo and Jessica Cani, Instagram specialists and social media consultants, will speak about how important knowledge and proper communication of food is in today’s world.
The gestures of food will not be missing. Three skilled “pobiddas” will show with their workshops how the language of know-how is essential for transmitting tradition, taste and culture.
Agnese Cabigliera will make “sas paneddas”, the women’s cheese, Maria Antonietta Mazzone will delight everyone with “sas cotzulas frissas” and finally Rita Pirisi will prepare “sos macarrones de punzu”.
